Porcelain Story
I have already had to talk about the work of the famous Ukrainian porcelain maker Oksana Leontievna Zhnikrup. That story was connected with a high-profile scandal that broke out in connection with the construction by Jeff Koons in Manhattan in New York of a huge inflatable composition, which, in fact, is a copy of Oksana Zhnikrup's famous work ''Seated Ballerina''.
Zhnikrup, who began her creative career at the Baranovsky Porcelain Factory, truly became famous during the years of work at the Kiev Experimental Ceramics and Art Factory (KECAZ), where her most famous compositions were created. Unfortunately, after the bankruptcy and closure of this enterprise, the museum collection of the plant's products disappeared without a trace. But many of the works of Oksana Zhnikrup can be seen in the capital's museum of Ukrainian folk applied art, which is located on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
''The Swan Princess'' is one of the most famous works by Oksana Zhnikrup. This amazingly bright work, based on a well-known fairy tale, amazes with its unusually rich color scheme, the expression of the plot and the finest texture of many details.
