Porcelain Museum in Kyiv
Porcelain is a fragile material, which, however, has a long history. The first products from it were created in the 7th century. in China. For a long time, the tradition of making porcelain dishes was kept secret. However, later they spread throughout the world and turned into one of the art forms. Not only dishes were made from the material, but also figurines or dolls, each of which remained unique and especially valuable.
The well-known Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Shvets managed to visit almost 100 countries of the world during his life. And in each of them he looked for rare porcelain items. And not simple, but with history. Such that they could be added to your collection. Not surprisingly, over time, the number of figurines in the collection has grown to four and a half thousand. Then it was decided to share this beauty with the people of Kiev and guests of the capital. From this idea, the Porcelain Museum in Kyiv arose. All you have to do to enjoy the beauty of porcelain in the museum's collection is to purchase an entrance ticket. It costs only 350 UAH and provides access to all halls. Thanks to a special approach to working with visitors, it is possible to create an atmosphere of calm and privacy. No more than 25 people can be in the halls at the same time. That is why we recommend pre-registration. However, you can also visit the exhibition and see the exhibits of porcelain figures on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you want to learn something new about porcelain and hear interesting fascinating stories from guides, it is best to sign up for group tours - they are formed in advance. To do this, contact the museum staff. Each participant of the tour will be informed separately about the schedule of events.
