Porcelain Story

There are sculptors who can leave a mark on porcelain art with just a series of their works. I would classify the famous Spanish porcelain maker Enrique Sanisidro, with whom I once spoke about in our column in connection with a trip to the Dominican Republic. In the capital of the country, Santo Domingo, after the excursion, my children and I stopped at a local department store, which was listed in the Lladro directory as the place where the products of this manufactory are sold.

I will not go back to the story of the failed acquisition that day of a wonderful and very rare composition with a huge elephant and riders. But I will return to the fact that at the same time we managed to buy several works by Sanisidro. The technique and style of the plots of this sculptor are so unique that his work can be distinguished from hundreds of others with just a glance from a distance of 50 meters.
