PORCELAIN STORY

August 18, 1952 in the glorious American city of Houston was born Patrick Swayze, the future famous film actor, dancer and singer of author's songs. And also a man who played, without knowing it, a prominent role in my humble life.

Since Patrick's mother was a choreographer, it is not surprising that from childhood he was engaged in dancing. In fact, eventually graduating from two prestigious ballet schools, ('Harkness' and 'Joffrey'), he became a dancer. But become famous Patrick Swayze was destined all the same on the field is somewhat different. Starting early to shoot in the movie, where his talent as a dancer and singer of songs came as possible, by the way, he soon became quite a sought-after actor. And then even received worldwide recognition, starring in such famous films as ''Dirty Dancing'', ''Ghost'' and ''On the Crest of the Wave''.

I would like to focus on the film "The Ghost", which was released in 1990 and won several Oscars. The point is that everyone's fear of future death first manifests itself at different ages and in different ways. In my distant boarding school childhood, fear of life first manifested itself. It was difficult for us, abandoned by people and circumstances, to understand who and why we might be needed in this life. And only with time, a little warmed by the warmth of educators and teachers, we slowly came to terms with the fact that ''as it will be, there will be wonder...''. But the feeling of rapidly approaching, as it seemed to us then, soon and inevitable death was much more difficult to cope with. And at night, left to ourselves, we cried quietly from overwhelming fear into government pillows that smelled of sterile chlorine. What am I going to tell you? After all, this feeling is obviously familiar to everyone.

And with years comes the feeling of fear of death realized, grown up. It is no longer when you worry about your own departure from life, but you think more about the closest and dearest people, who suddenly, overnight, will be left without your support and care. What will happen to them? How? How will you be able to help them? And can you help them at all? Is it possible to try? But how, if it is not known to almost none of the people you know...? And the fear of this unknown begins to depress sometimes much more than any other fears familiar to each of us.

So it was in the movie ''Ghost'' starring Patrick Swayze (and the beautiful Demi Moore, and the brilliant Whoopi Goldberg in other roles) that I found (or didn't find, but came closer) to understanding how things MAY happen after we are gone.... I've seen this movie hundreds of times. And probably could have watched it again and again. It made me feel better. Then. And that feeling hasn't gone away to this day.

And the wonderful actor Patrick Swayze, famous in the movie community for his rare courage and fearlessness on the set, just as courageously and fearlessly fought pancreatic cancer, which was diagnosed in 2008. And on September 14, 2009 quietly passed away, going to the world, in which he had already had time to visit, performing a famous movie role that had fallen into my soul.... Only now he is gone forever.
