Porcelain Story

This large wedding carriage (please pay attention to its dimensions!) may seem familiar to some Kyiv porcelain lovers. They really could see it during the presentation of the unique works of the Spanish manufactory Lladro in the Khanenko Museum in Kiev. It was, however, many years ago. Then the organizers of the exposition of masterpieces of Spanish porcelain decided to acquaint Ukrainian connoisseurs of beauty with several outstanding, in their opinion, products. Including this carriage, which, at their request, I agreed to borrow for the duration of the exhibition.

Among other products, the famous ''Queen of the Nile'' was presented there - an outstanding work of world porcelain art, for a long time considered the world's largest solid (!) porcelain product, amazing people who saw it for the first time and unique scales (80 x 164 cm), and a huge number of participants in the plot, and the incredibly refined work of the sculptors who created all these images. We also have the ''Queen of the Nile'' in our collection and you will still have the opportunity to get to know it better. In the meantime, I decided to talk about the wedding carriage. And that's why.

Recently, many publications have increasingly begun to write about the upcoming wedding of the English Prince Harry and American black actress Megan Markle. Their photographs do not leave the pages of British newspapers. And the preparation for the wedding ceremony is described literally in detail. Readers of newspapers and users of social networks are vigorously discussing the preparation of the bride in the so-called "princess school", where she will soon be sent on the strong recommendation of Prince Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Sir Elton John, the legendary singer and songwriter, announced that he was canceling several performances in order to please the participants of the upcoming wedding celebration. Elton John was once friends with Princess Diana, and now considers it his duty to speak at the wedding of one of her sons. Well, then there were also statements from close and distant relatives of Megan Markle, who decided to show her old and new grievances, of course, mostly of a property nature. So to be continued...

However, once again I want to draw your attention to the work - to the perfection of the details of the decoration of the carriage and the bride's wedding dress (the texture of the pattern on the white dress and on the veil amazes with the finest details). What a beautiful horse! And how reserved and concentrated the driver is... I'm not talking about the loving look of the groom.
