Porcelain Story

I decided to introduce another porcelain miracle to the readers of Porcelain Stories. You know, I'm tired of the reproaches of some FB friends that some of the figures presented earlier are either too small or not very bright, or the plot scenes for them, you see, are not very dynamic and large-scale. Of course, I'm joking, but with a touch of slight resentment, I want to note: it is quite difficult to show meter-sized porcelain miracles every day. After all, I have been leading this section for more than one year, and I simply cannot have such a large number of huge works. Like any other museum, even Dresden.

This work is truly unique. And, as you already understood, by the meter length, and by the dynamics of the transmission of the internal tension of all the participants in this composition - both the horses rushing to the finish line, and the riders, as if merging with them in a single impulse. I'm so sorry that the photograph cannot convey another paramount element of understanding its uniqueness. If you look at the composition live, the viewer gets the impression that the horses, having pushed off the ground, at the moment of fixing this fragment of the race, are in ... the air! Soar on the ground! It's just incredible.

This effect was achieved thanks to the ingenious calculation of the Valencian sculptors and engineers, which allows this huge porcelain structure flying in free space to be held in places of just a few of its contacts with a powerful stable base. And after all, all this perfection was achieved after a long firing of the work in a special furnace at the highest temperatures ... An incredible miracle of human hands and imagination!
