Porcelain Story

I really love this simple, at first glance, composition. It reminds me of many things. Probably, each of us in childhood had something similar. Some favorite place where you could, in moments of undeserved offense (or, which happened much more often, in moments of childhood dreams), retire from the whole adult and unfair, as it seemed to us then, world, in order to be alone. But since in my childhood there was no such place of my own, I had nowhere to retire.

But I had exactly the same suitcase - made of dense compressed brown cardboard with metal heels at the corners. With this suitcase I went every Monday on a long journey to my boarding school, which was then located in the Exhibition area. At six o'clock in the morning I got into the empty cabin of the 12th trolley bus, which went from Leninsky Komsomol Square (now European) to the Exhibition. It took about 40 minutes to drive, and during this time it was possible to invent so many beautiful things about your future life that sometimes at the boarding school bus stop (by the way, it is still called that now, although there has been no boarding school there for many years) even I didn't want to leave without watching my dreamy "movie" to the end...

And I bought this porcelain composition in a "dwarf" state, which is located in a large and very beautiful place on the border of Spain and France. And it's called Andorra. Then, having arrived at the match of the Ukrainian national team with the team of this tiny country, according to a long tradition, I went to look for traces of porcelain civilizations, and in one shop I found what I was looking for. Having purchased several rare items at once, I settled with a nice saleswoman, asking the heavy boxes to be delivered to the hotel where we were staying.

At a football match (which ended, by the way, at that time with a record score of 6:0 for our team), some colleagues tried to “prick” me with doubts about the belated delivery of the purchased porcelain. But it was all in vain. Returning to my hotel room, I safely found what I expected in it.
