Porcelain Story

"To be or not to be? That is the question..." In the history of every famous porcelain manufactory, there are favorite themes. Favorite, first of all, for the creators of certain thematic images, which over time become the subject of a special hobby among collectors. Moreover, collectors of porcelain beauty devote their energy, time and, of course, a lot of money to the eternal search for figurines of their favorite subjects.

I'm not going to offend collectors of any scale, because from some time I myself became one of them. But this just gives me the right to assert that a real collection can be collected only if the collector is a little (or, to be honest, a lot) obsessed with collecting. That's when unique collections of objects of a particular theme appear - dogs, horses, flower arrangements, warriors of different armies... And how brilliant collections can be dedicated to the themes of religion of different nations, or circus, or hunting, or love, or motherhood!..

There are also topics dedicated to historical heroes or famous writers and heroes of their literary works. In our collection, all the topics I have listed are equally represented, since we have never favored one or more topics. The rather rare and beautiful large-scale work brought to your attention relates to the theme of William Shakespeare and his literary heroes. In one of the halls of our museum, this Shakespearean theme is presented separately.
