Porcelain Story
In the exhibition complex on the Left Bank of Kyiv (where the Eurovision final was once held), a traditional meeting of lovers of all sorts of things took place. Precisely all sorts of things, because what is there just usually does not happen!.. And badges with orders, and socialist banners from the time of overfulfillment of the five-year obligations assumed, and paintings, and edged weapons, and books. Well, and, of course, porcelain. To be honest, this time I didn’t meet anything special from our subject with you. Well, perhaps a composition of several porcelain dolls dressed in outfits of North American Indians.
I will say right away that I am not fond of porcelain dolls, although I know that for many collectors they are objects of special desire. And I understand them, because such works of art cannot but arouse interest.
And this time I bought porcelain Indians for my youngest daughter, knowing how lately she has for some reason become interested in studying the life of American and Canadian Indian tribes. The gift caused a lot of delight. Although once again I note that the presence in the dolls of only faces, hands and sometimes legs made of porcelain itself, for example, always causes a feeling of some kind of unfinished work. You know, when the beauty of porcelain fragments of a doll is draped, even with very beautiful fabrics and embroideries, it looks like some kind of hiding imperfection. Although I admit that I could be wrong. And obviously it is.
But it's a completely porcelain work! Pay attention to the perfection of the forms of the Japanese boy. And if we add to this the perfection of each (by no means invented for beauty, but completely corresponding to historical tradition!) details of its decoration... And if we add to this the most modern technologies and materials that the author used in the manufacture of this work... And if we add to this the amazing charm of a little hero... It becomes clear that this is exactly what absolute perfection is!
