Porcelain Story

Now, of course, I am very sorry that during a multi-day trip to Japan in 1991, I was not even going to collect porcelain. Moreover, I could never imagine that the time would come and the Japanese theme would take a very special place in our future collection. And not only in terms of the number of works and the variety of plot compositions devoted to this topic. And also for the incredible historical authenticity of every detail of clothing or armor, for example, a samurai. By the amazing accuracy of color, size, accessories of everything that relates to Japanese life and traditions of a particular historical era.

Now I already clearly know that the samurai armor presented to your attention is an exact copy of the equipment of a Japanese warrior. I saw how a special department works in the Valencian "City of Porcelain", which does not allow the slightest deviation from historical truth in matters of recreating the details of clothing and everyday life of the characters in porcelain compositions dedicated to fragments from the lives of representatives of various countries. This is surprising, but when I saw a helmet of a Japanese samurai in the Columbus Museum in the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, I involuntarily caught myself thinking that exactly this (but made of porcelain!) is in our collection, nothing but material different from the real...
