Porcelain Story

I like such porcelain compositions - with meaning! .. And not just with meaning, but with a real semantic mystery that makes the connoisseur of beauty, enjoying the masterful performance of the product, every time try to unravel the deep philosophical meaning of the idea underlying the composition. True, many museum visitors are accustomed to being content with little - a superficial perception of color, technique, the author's style, the elegance of the form of the product and the refinement of small details.

All this is true, and I am not going to criticize anyone, or teach the perception of a work of art. The perception by each of us of the beauty we like or dislike is a deeply personal matter, almost intimate.

I'm just going to talk about something else, about my perception of the philosophical principle in porcelain. It is not the small circulation of the series and not the year of release that make such works unique, but it is the author's idea that catches the audience's interest with a splinter of searching for an answer to the riddle of the plot, immortalized in the composition... By the way, this work is also interesting because in the face of its hero one can guess the obvious portrait resemblance to one of the most famous characters of modern Ukrainian history. In such cases, it is usually customary to say that any coincidences are random. So it is, however, and it really is. The feeling of historical non-randomness for some reason does not give rest.
