Porcelain Story
I have been to the Netherlands and Holland many times. Yes, yes, I was not mistaken. Both in the Netherlands and Holland. It was at the beginning of the 19th century that the kingdom, vassal to the French emperor Napoleon, was called Holland and the king ruled there, who was the brother of the emperor. Now Holland is one of the provinces of the Netherlands, by the way, the largest.
So, wherever in the Netherlands I happened to be, everywhere you could find completely unique places. And bright carpets of multi-colored tulips stretching to the very horizon, and unusually interesting farms on which a complete technology for the production of famous cheeses was created, and a fabulous sea coast, on which for the first time in my life my wife and I tried fresh herring, eaten almost entirely at the place of preparation, since all the bones from it by some miraculous way have already been removed ...
But, like many other tourists, of course, I liked the capital in the Netherlands the most. Amsterdam has a huge number of interesting places - from unique art galleries to the notorious ''red light districts''. What I like most in this city is a small two-story porcelain shop located near the central railway station. How many beautiful works were found there, bargained for and then brought to Kyiv!..
One of these finds was this beautiful composition dedicated to almost the main divine couple in Hinduism. In it, God appears in the male and female incarnations of Krishna and his beloved Radha. Moreover, in relation to Krishna, Radha is considered by the followers of Hinduism as the supreme goddess, controlling Krishna with the power of her love! That's how it happens.
It is generally accepted that Krishna is so beautiful that he conquers the whole world with his beauty, but Radha manages to charm even him. For the divine female energy, they say, is drawn from a divine source, and therefore, it turns out that no one and nothing can resist it. On this, my meager knowledge of Hindu mythology can be considered exhausted. But the work itself, brought from the capital city of Amsterdam, still remains in our collection as an inexhaustible source of admiration for the beauty of the love of the heroes of the composition and the talent of its creator. And here again I can't help but draw your attention to the fact that the sculptor who created it is our old friend Francisco Polope.
