Porcelain Story
The Danish Royal Porcelain Manufactory was founded in May 1775. It became the sixth in Europe - after Meissen (1710), Vienna (1719), Sevres (1738), St. Petersburg (1744) and Berlin (1751). The factory, located in the heart of the capital of Denmark, enjoyed the personal patronage of Queen Juliana Maria. One of the most famous works of Danish masters was the ceremonial service ''Flora Danica'' ordered by the Danish king as a gift to the Russian Empress Catherine II. ''Flora Danica'' is considered one of the most expensive sets in the world. The minimum cost of any item from this series (produced, by the way, to this day) is several thousand euros.
In the middle of the 19th century, the manufactory was privatized. However, despite the frequent change of owners, it maintained a close relationship with the royal family. The traditional emblem of the manufactory has also been preserved - three wavy lines, which symbolize the three main Danish straits: Øresund, Storebelt and Lillebelt.
Our collection contains many works created by Danish masters. Most of the figures are dedicated to scenes from village life. Presented to your attention is the figurine of an Arabian horse. I must say that the porcelain Arabian horses in our collection would be enough for a whole herd. Created at different manufactories at different times, they certainly differ in size, style, and color. But all works necessarily convey the main features of this breed - a proud posture, not very large growth and an always recognizable profile. These horses are unusually smart, friendly and accommodating. With good hearing, excellent eyesight and an excellent memory, they have always been famous for the fact that they easily remember the way. Yes, and they are quite fast, reaching speeds of up to 50-60 kilometers per hour...
