I have already talked about an unusual series of works created by the Spanish sculptor Enrique Sanisidro. Over the years, I managed to collect almost the entire series of absolutely amazing human images created using a technique that I have never seen before or since. Moreover, the works of this master, released in such small editions and immediately scattered all over the world, I had to accidentally find either in Portugal, or in the Canary Islands, or in the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, or even in some small shop in the north of Scotland. And I must say that every time, bringing from afar a work new to the collection, but often old by the year of release, I suddenly, quite unexpectedly for myself, began to perceive it in a completely different way.

So, for example, it was with this work, found by my wife and me in one of the Portuguese towns many years ago. The time was different. In Ukraine, everything was different. We were different - both younger and more fun because life once again gave us a great opportunity for an exciting journey. And this work of a sculptor already well known to us was perceived by us in a completely different way. It's called "Woman's Happiness". This is how women's happiness seemed then to be restless, difficult, troublesome, having many children, as in this story. But - uniquely beautiful. We knew it well, to the smallest sensations... That's why I wanted to immediately acquire this rather large work and drag it with me to Ukraine, remembering the old rule: you will have to suffer for several days, and then enjoy it all your life...

I've been looking at this work lately - and ... I don't enjoy it. I can not. Everyone comes up with stories about refugees who are forced to throw at the mercy of the occupiers everything they have acquired over many years of their lives and rush into unknown trials with the most expensive wealth in their hands, with their own children ...

Also, after all, women's happiness - the children are nearby, thank God, they are alive. Only some kind of female happiness is completely different. Compared to the pre-war one, it’s also probably not simple. But completely different ... Oh, the war, what have you done?..

But life goes on. So we will live. And have children. And rebuild Ukraine. And believe in our bright peaceful future.
