Porcelain Story

For the first time, I saw this amazingly beautiful and close to my heart work live ... high in the mountains. Yes, yes, it was exactly like that. One day, our old friend, who has long been living in the Spanish province of Alicante, invited us and our children to see the ruins of an ancient castle. "By the way," he remarked, "there is a souvenir shop selling farfor." It was hard to imagine what kind of porcelain can be sold in a souvenir shop at a tourist site high in the mountains...

It turned out that we had never seen such a wonderful collection of unique porcelain works as those that appeared before our eyes in the high-mountainous village of Guadales! The owner of the shop, feeling a kindred spirit in me, took our whole family by the hand and led us to two closed rooms where the rarest products of the Lladro manufactory, which I loved so much, were kept. She offered to buy any of these works. But for the first time in my life, I didn't buy anything. The prices named by the hostess spoke of only one thing: madly in love with her collection, she was never going to part with it...

In Valencia, members of the dynasty that created the Lladro manufactory told us later that they knew this woman well and were not at all surprised by her behavior. Years have passed, and almost all the products that we first saw with our own eyes in the mountainous Guadales are collected in our collection. Including "Golgotha", which has an incredible power of energy, so generally characteristic of handicrafts, the creation of which sometimes takes weeks, months and even years of painstaking work of masters.

Let me tell you an old parable. An old Jew dies, whose tavern for many years enjoyed incredible popularity among the townspeople. "Grandfather," his grandson asks, "explain why, while other establishments are constantly empty, you never had a release from visitors?" The old man grinned slyly and dropped: "I just, baby, never spared tea leaves ..."

You know, troubles are always given to us exactly as much as we are able to carry on our shoulders. But the blessings ... God is looking for a long time, who can be given more than he needs, so that he can share with people who, for certain reasons, are not able to provide themselves and their loved ones with the most necessary at the moment.

For me, for example, every birthday is a happy occasion to thank fate and the Lord for all the trials that allowed me to rethink what is happening and to establish myself in an effort to achieve my goals, and also for giving me the happiness to go through life with my family and friends, like and I, convinced that the surplus of tea leaves is given only in order not to spare it for others. And in this regard, I want to sincerely thank the donors of the exhibits of our museum, who did this, as I understand it, in many respects so that people who do not have the opportunity to see all these beauties in museums that are distant and inaccessible to most, could personally see them and enjoy the beauty.
